Parenting Class Tip: If you establish open communication when your children are young it will encourage them to come to you for advice when they are teenagers and will build self-esteem and respect for each other. Children thrive on possitive comments but may rebel with negative feedback. If you discuss issues in private, where appropriate, they are more likely to respect your authority.
