It is written by Kathy Garber, a licensed marriage and family therapist, who has years of experience working with parents, the courts and human resources. Parenting Class Tip: Children often blame themselves when parents divorce. Toddlers may regress from potty training, fuss more and experience separatiion anxiety. Teenagers may be more rebellious. Parents need to reassure the children that the divorce had nothing to do with them and try to stick to a normal routine and nurturing environment.
